Please note: Take this test when any symptoms of short-term illness have settled. Avoid fatty foods for eight hours before your test, you do not need to fast. You should take this test before you take any medication or vitamin/mineral supplements. Do not take biotin supplements for two days before this test, discuss this with your doctor if it is prescribed. Do not take vitamin B12 for two weeks prior to this test. If your B12 is prescribed ask your doctor whether to stop.

Blood test

My A&E nurse daughter helped me with this and we really struggled to get much blood out and to fill the container despite following the instructions carefully. The company sent a second pack since most tests couldn’t be done on the first. Second time at least I got the cholesterol results but still not the iron. I was promised a partial refund but despite a follow up email, nothing has been forthcoming. Disappointing

Cholesterol check is unnecessary

Good to get results. Wanted something more than just magnesium on the minerals though. I’m not bothered about cholesterol panel. Would have preferred a few more vitamin results
